Captain Philip Taylor

I started my deep fishing back in 1988 in OB at the old Perdido Pass Marina, on the charter boat, ROOKIE. Rookie and his wife Kathy taught me the techniques I use today, to catch big snappers close to the beach. I also had the opportunity growing up to fish with some of the original charter boat captains of Orange Beach and learn their techniques and ways of catching all fish, from live bait to snapper, mackerel, amberjack, tuna, marlin, and even giant sharks!!!

My son Dalton has been fishing with me since before he could walk, though still learning, as we all are, he has learned the same way I did, being on the boat!!! From catching Spanish and king mackerel, red snappers, to sharks, he’s figured it out.

Catching fish close to shore is a blast. And seeing land and landing nice fish, tends to help with folks who may be prone to seasickness. But most importantly, it is having a good time and teaching everyone on board how to fish, especially the kids!!! And girls always out-fish the boys!!! Seriously.

Captain Dalton Taylor

I grew up fishing with my dad and learned everything I know about nearshore fishing from him. Spending countless days on the water at a young age built a passion that eventually turned into a career. I started deckhanding in 2014 and became a captain in 2020.

I specialize in both inshore and nearshore snapper fishing. On inshore trips, I mainly target speckled trout using light tackle and live bait free-lining techniques, along with redfish and flounder. Whether it’s your first trip or you’ve spent years on the water, I enjoy sharing my passion for fishing and helping people have a great experience out on the water.
